In the 1993 film Gift (that centers around the band Jane's Addiction, and most of all, the singer Perry Farrell and his then companion, the beautiful artist Casey Niccoli) there is a scene where Casey has overdosed and lies against a chair.Behind her is a cloth doll with colored braids just like her own.
I'm not absolutely sure but I assume this was a portrait doll made to look like her.
